Canon‘s new EOS R3 combines the exceptional performance, ergonomics and speed of the brands EOS-1 with the innovation and versatility of its new EOS R System to deliver what the brand is calling a new benchmark in hybrid cameras. Designed for professional photographers working essentially in the field, the EOS R3 was developed using valuable feedback from press and sports photographers.
The EOS R3 is equipped with a brand-new 24.1-megapixel sensor that offers optimum balance between performance, resolution, and speed. With the new sensor, the Canon EOS R3 delivers fast image acquisition with exceptional responsiveness and considerably reduces the usual distortion caused by the “rolling shutter” effect. In addition, the ultra-fast shutter speed of up to 1/64,000 a second opens up new possibilities for photographers to grab even the most fleeting of subjects.
With the electronic shutter, photographers can also shoot at 30 fps with exposure tracking and auto focus, even when recording RAW files. Moreover, to overcome the weaknesses that can be caused by electronic shutters, Canon has integrated flicker detection and a new high-frequency anti-flicker shooting mode to detect and correct the effects of flickering light sources such as led lamps or light panels on exposure, or colour.
