An opportunity for new exhibitors to grow their business at Milipol Paris
The dedicated First Time Exhibitor Village, spread across three different areas within the show, provides companies with an opportunity to test the waters at Milipol Paris, giving them access to the show’s some 22,000 visitors to showcase their products and services.
Feedback from new exhibitors who chose the area at this year’s edition of the show is more than positive. For digital UK-based forensics firm Blue Light Digital (BLD), specialised in the selective extraction of data from victims’ devices, the one-stop-shop effect makes Milipol Paris an effective platform to showcase products to a like-minded audience. “Being able to talk to customers who have the same issues is great,” said the company’s Jenny Nicol.
For other newbie exhibitors, having shown at other events with a broader scope, the specificity of Milipol Paris makes it unique. “We participate in several fairs in Italy, but this one is very specific to the sector,” said Salvatore Gabriele Colletti of Italian security and safety solutions consulting firm Kriptia.
For some, the size of Milipol is also a positive point. “We have seen a lot of people,” said Pawel Wujcikowski of Spy Shop, a Polish firm showing its Security Paper product, paper that sets off an alert if removed from a designated area.
For certain companies exhibiting at Milipol Paris for the first time, the event offers a gateway into Europe. This is the case for Searchlight Cyber, a firm specialised in dark web threat intelligence with offices in the UK and the US. “We have had success expanding into Europe this year. Milipol is an extension of that for us,” said Alex Blackman, Head of Product Marketing.
For others, the show offers the ideal platform for launching a new product. Jean-Luc Rabiller from France-based Demgy, a company that is new to the homeland security and safety sector having recently launched a new Improvised Explosive Device (IED) neutraliser said: “This is a new field for us and Milipol is the ideal platform.”
Many new exhibitors also expressed satisfaction with the show that goes beyond their company’s success. “It’s really well organised,” said Darren Brown, Sales Manager at Norwegian evidential interview recording firm David Horn. “We’re very impressed by the security here,” Ms Nicol from BLD confirmed.
For most, participation in Milipol Paris will not be a one-off experience. “We’ll definitely exhibit again,” said Mr Brown. “We are thinking about coming back,” Mr Wujcikowsk agreed. “We would like to exhibit again, and maybe not just in Paris,” said Mr Salvatore.
