Milipol Qatar 2024: at the heart of Homeland Security and Safety

The 15th edition of Milipol Qatar, the world’s leading event for internal state security, made a lasting impression with more than 14,500 visitors from 63 countries and 360 official delegations from 42 countries in attendance in Doha, underlining the growing importance of this event for the security and defence ecosystem

With 842 million Qatari riyals worth of agreements signed on the sidelines of the exhibition, the 2024 edition is establishing itself as a strategic crossroads for players in the sector.

A platform for security innovations

Under the authority of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Milipol Qatar 2024 showcased the latest advances in internal security. The event welcomed 255 exhibitors from 26 countries, with international participation accounting for 70% of the total. Six national pavilions (France, North America, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and China) demonstrated the breadth of the solutions on offer, ranging from cybersecurity to innovations in the fight against drones. The event also saw the entry of seven new countries, including Saudi Arabia and Portugal, a sign of a growing international openness.

Artificial intelligence at the heart of discussions

The 2024 edition was distinguished by the organisation of a international conference on International AI Serving Homeland Security and Safety., under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of the Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Forces. Experts and decision-makers explored the growing impact of artificial intelligence on protection strategies, emphasising its role in cyber defence and crisis management. The event also featured 15 presentations on key topics such as: combating cyber threats, civil protection and border security, bringing together 40 international speakers.

With record attendance and high-level discussions, Milipol Qatar 2024 reaffirmed its key role in the development of security technologies. The event allowed Qatar to demonstrate its desire to strengthen its security capabilities, while consolidating its status as a major player on the international stage. On the strength of this success, the organisation is already looking to the future: the next edition will be held from 20 to 22 October 2026.
