Rohde & Schwarz: new recognition for its DisplayPort test tools
German measurement and communication technology specialist Rohde & Schwarz has just received official approval from VESA for its DisplayPort test solutions.
Equipment validated for the latest DisplayPort generation
Rohde & Schwarz has received approval from VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) for its test solutions for products using the latest DisplayPort 2.1 standard. In concrete terms, this means that its tools, such as the R&S RTP oscilloscope combined with ScopeSuite software, are now recognised for verifying the quality of DisplayPort transmitters, which are essential for transmitting ultra-high-definition images.
In addition to testing displays, Rohde & Schwarz also offers devices capable of verifying the reliability of DisplayPort cables and connectors. Thanks to their speed, these tests enable manufacturers to save time while ensuring that their products comply with current standards.
A complete solution to help manufacturers
Beyond this official validation, Rohde & Schwarz offers a complete solution that also allows other versions of DisplayPort to be tested, such as Embedded DisplayPort (eDP), which is used in laptops, among other devices. The idea is simple: to offer manufacturers a single platform to control all aspects of their products, accelerate their time to market and ensure compliance.
Patrick McKenzie, the company’s chief technology officer, explains: ‘This approval demonstrates our commitment to supporting our customers with reliable tools for rapidly developing innovative products.’
Strong support for technological innovation
VESA is the international organisation that sets standards for digital displays. With this new recognition, Rohde & Schwarz confirms its role in the industry.
