Federal Ammunition introduces its new match-grade centrefire rifle ammunition
American ammunition maker Federal Ammunition is launching a new product line of match-grade centerfire rifle ammunition: the Federal Premium Gold Medal CenterStrike range. According to the company, the new match-grade ammunition loads feature a proprietary open tip match design, sleek profile and extremely precise specifications that offer users ultimate long-range accuracy and consistency.
“The new CenterStike product line continues the tradition of Gold Medal standards delivering industry-leading accuracy in factory-loaded ammunition,” said Federal Centerfire Rifle Ammunition Product Line Manager, Eric Miller. “CenterStrike features a new Open Tip Match bullet that will allow us to expand our Gold Medal product lineup with more options and is ideal for any target shooter looking for long-range accuracy and consistent performance.”
The firm’s new range features precision-built OTM bullet design as well as a high ballistic coefficient design. Created using what Federal Ammunition is calling its tightest specifications with respect to accuracy, pressure, and velocity, the novel product line boasts Gold Medal primers and brass. With a specially formulated propellant, the new ammunition range from Federal Ammunition is available in 308 Win., 6.5 Creedmoor and 223 Rem and comes in boxes of 20-round.
The new 140-grain, 6.5 Creedmoor load is now available to dealers while the 168-grain and 175-grain, 308 Win. loads have been available since May. The ammo maker is expecting to produce a 77-grain, 223 Rem. load that will be available to dealers in the very near future.
Minnesota-based Federal Ammunition was founded in 1922 and has been developing its large array of specialised, high-quality shotshell, centerfire and rimfire loads ever since.
