A lion in sports gear: Gomouv’ flexes its muscles at the École Militaire
For over 30 years, French company Gomouv’ has been designing and installing outdoor sports equipment for all audiences – local authorities, businesses, schools… and now the armed forces. Based in the Pays de la Loire region, it has built a reputation for its robust, inclusive modules designed for unrestricted use.
A new training facility in the heart of Paris
In March 2025, the École Militaire de Paris inaugurated a new type of facility: the Mouv’roc® Lion model. This freely accessible physical training module is specially designed for demanding environments. It can accommodate up to 11 people at a time, offering around 100 possible exercises, from muscle strengthening to endurance training.
Designed for independent use, it is equipped with pictograms and QR codes that provide access to exercise demonstrations on smartphones. A true new-generation ‘health trail’ for the physical fitness of military personnel in training or on duty.
A design that respects heritage
Installing modern equipment in such an iconic location as the École Militaire is a challenge. The Lion model was chosen for its compact size and understated design, which allows it to blend harmoniously into the historic setting. It embodies a successful alliance between tradition and modernity, reflecting the current needs of the armed forces: operational, discreet and effective solutions.
Towards wider deployment in the armed forces?
The installation of the Mouv’roc Lion is part of a full-scale trial. If the experience proves successful, other installations could follow in barracks, training centres and military hospitals. This partnership demonstrates a growing desire to improve the physical condition of personnel through accessible tools that can be used 365 days a year without supervision.
Gomouv’ is thus continuing its mission: to make sport accessible to everyone, including security professionals.
